Lest You Think We Were Done . . .
Carl J. Sukenick returns with let another of his home-made crapterpieces. Yes, all the usual stuff is here with long static shots. An utterly nonsensical plot reigns supreme. Lines are repeatedly several times at the beginning. The rather hugely rotund co-star can't stop from smiling when Carl is raving about the aliens and zombies at the beginning of the film. The fight scenes are laughable at best. The attempts to do some funky shots at the end are pathetic. Toys serve as spaceships and a toy dinosaur I guess is supposed to serve as a giant monster. The last thirty minutes is dialogue free (which many would agree is a blessing). Directions are shouted from behind the camera. Ah, the list of things wrong with this movie would be a very long one. I do have to say that this film by Sukenick isn't as horrible as his later ones. I am just estimating 1990 because this is by far the youngest I've seen him. However, if only 16 years passed between this one and Zombie Lust 13, Carl has not aged well. He looks 30 to 40 years older in Zombie Lust 13 as opposed to what he looks like here. I do feel pity for what's happened to him as evidenced by the passage of years chronicled in these movies. Still, that doesn't mean I'll ever give him a positive review or stop calling him The World's Worst Director.
