Story:
A new drug Rapture finds it's way onto the streets. This drug happens to turn whoever uses it into zombie-like beings who later become possessed by demons. You see, certain groups say that drugs are the work of the devil. In this case, these guys happen to be right. The drugs are part of a plan by the Anti-Christ to return to Earth and take over. Only a few brave souls stand in their way.

Violent New Breed . . . Same Old Sheet

There's probably a reason Todd Sheets hasn't been heard from in awhile. Of course, anyone who's seen one of his films knows they are pretty bad . . . even for the SOV genre. In fact, I think the only movie of his on DVD happens to be The Witching, which he produced rather than directed. I hope that some enterprising soul will put out Sheet's stuff on DVD someday, but I'm not going to hold my breath for it. But if Feeders can come out on DVD, anything can . . . As for this particular film, it's typical Todd Sheets. The plot has more development than many of his previous films, but it still leaves a lot of questions about the events of the film, especially at the end where Satan seems to fight the Anti-Christ or something like that. In any case, this has all the usual Sheets stuff: blood, gore, bad acting, etc etc. I did enjoy the appearance of Rudy Ray Moore. He hammed it up as a minister for a few minutes, even though he still basically acted like Dolemite (which is usually how he acts in all his movies). The other major drawback to the film comes from it's extreme length. This is way too long for an SOV film. Still, I do like Todd Sheets's movies as bad films. Available on VHS.
